  • My ceramics are food safe stoneware fired at high temperatures. All glazes are lead-free and food safe. Any decorative-only pieces will be marked clearly in the product description.

  • Before use:

You don’t need to do anything.

But there is one method called Medome(目止め) in Japanese, to lessen staining. Medome is to let the ceramic soak proteins to close the small holes and cracks.

    1. Wash the piece with warm water and dry it throughly.

    2. Dip it into a pot with water, which was used to wash rice (or water mixed with a a couple of spoonfuls of corn flour, rice flour, wheat flour) and bring it to boil on low heat.

    3. Let it cool down naturally, then wash it with warm water and dry thoroughly.

    Daily care:

My ceramics are microwave & dishwasher safe. Although, an extra little care for handmade artisanal pieces can help your ceramics’ longevity. Hand washing with a soft cloth or sponge is recommended.

Please avoid extreme changes in temperature, as it can cause your ceramics to crack.

Due to the nature of handmade items, each piece is unique and one of a kind. Please note that there may be slight differences in colours and shapes from the product images.
