Hakeme round cup
This round stoneware cup features Hakeme, a traditional white slip decoration brushed onto black clay using a hake brush. It was hand-thrown, hand-brushed, and fired at 1230ºC.
The design is inspired by the rugged landscapes of the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors, blending elements of my Japanese heritage with the textures of the countryside.
Each cup is unique, with hand-applied brush marks that add a sense of movement and individuality to the piece.
• Approx size: D 9cm H 9cm
• Capacity: 300ml
• Colour: White, black
• Handmade in the UK
• Food safe glazes
• A hand wash is recommended for longevity
• Avoid extreme changes in temperature, as it could cause your ceramics to crack
