Large Hakeme bowl II
This stoneware ceramic bowl features Hakeme, a traditional white slip decoration applied with a Hake brush, on a base of black clay. Hand-thrown, hand-brushed, and fired at 1230ºC, it reflects a connection to both heritage and craft.
Large in size, this bowl is versatile—perfect as a fruit bowl, a sharing bowl for gatherings, or simply as a decorative centerpiece.
Inspired by the rugged landscapes of the Yorkshire Dales, the bowl is handcrafted locally in Harrogate. Its design blends my Japanese heritage with the organic textures of the countryside, resulting in patterns that feel both natural and timeless.
Each bowl is unique, with slight variations that celebrate its handmade nature.
