Matte white hand carved vase, Craters II
Matte white textured stoneware ceramic vase in toasted clay. It was hand thrown, hand carved, dip glazed, and fired at 1250ºc.
Taking inspiration from the rough and wild landscape in the Yorkshire Dales, it was handcrafted locally in Harrogate. Each piece intertwines my Japanese heritage and countryside surroundings to create patterns and glazes which mimic organic textures.
With its unique handmade nature, each vase is truly one-of-a-kind, bearing its own subtle variations and marks of individuality.
