Matte white hand carved vase, Ridges
This matte white textured stoneware vase, set against a warm toasted clay base, was hand-thrown, hand-carved, dip-glazed, and fired at 1230ºC.
Inspired by the rugged beauty of the Yorkshire Dales, it was handcrafted locally in Harrogate. The design combines my Japanese heritage with the natural textures of the countryside, creating patterns and glazes that evoke the organic qualities of nature.
Each vase is one of a kind, with its unique textures and subtle variations reflecting the handmade process.
