Nebula round cup

£30.00

Taking inspiration from the rough and wild landscape in the Yorkshire Dales, it was handcrafted locally in Harrogate. Each piece intertwines my Japanese heritage and countryside surroundings to create patterns and glazes which mimic organic textures.

The nebula-like color of the cup's glaze adds a cosmic layer of complexity and depth to the cup's character. Flecks of ecru accentuate the celestial beauty, like stars in a night sky.

No two handmade ceramic cups are identical. The imperfections, the slight asymmetry, the variations in color and texture - these are not flaws but the fingerprints of the artist's soul, evidence of the cup's journey from formless clay to functional art.

When you hold a handmade ceramic cup in your hands, you can feel its authenticity. Its round shape fits comfortably in your palm. As you sip your morning coffee or afternoon tea from this cup, you are reminded of the human connection embedded in its creation. The potter's passion, dedication, and artistry have been transferred into this object, and now, it becomes a part of your daily life.

Over time, the cup becomes an integral part of your life. Its round form, reminiscent of the earth's gentle curves, and its nebula-like color, echoing the mysteries of the universe, make it a timeless piece of functional art that connects us to our roots, to the cosmos, and to the hands that shaped it. Each sip from this cup is a reminder of the beauty that can emerge from the simplest of materials when guided by the human spirit.
