Teal green moon jar
A ‘Moon jar’ round ceramic vase in teal green glaze. This vessel was hand thrown and fired at 1250ºc.
Taking inspiration from the rough and wild landscape in the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors, it was handcrafted locally in Harrogate. Each piece intertwines my Japanese heritage and countryside surroundings to create patterns and glazes which mimic organic textures.
The teal green hue of the glaze exudes tranquility and depth, reminiscent of the calm waters in a secluded forest. This colour palette adds a touch of modernity to the Moon Jar's classic form, making it a versatile accent piece that complements a variety of interior styles.
