Hakeme cup III
This stoneware cup features Hakeme, a traditional Japanese white slip decoration applied with a hake brush on black clay. It was hand-thrown, hand-brushed, and fired at 1250ºC.
The design draws from the rugged landscapes of the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors, blending my Japanese heritage with the textures of the countryside.
Its subtle curves and dynamic, hand-applied lines bring a sense of movement to the piece.
Each cup is handmade, making every one unique.
• Approx size: D 9cm H 7cm
• Colour: White, black
• Handmade in the UK
• Food safe glazes
• A hand wash is recommended for longevity
• Avoid extreme changes in temperature, as it could cause your ceramics to crack
