Matte white hand carved vase, Ripples II
This vase is made from toasted clay, hand-thrown, hand-carved, dip-glazed, and fired at 1230ºC.
The design is inspired by the rugged landscapes of the Yorkshire Dales, combining influences from my Japanese heritage and the local countryside. These elements come together in the patterns and textures of the piece.
The matte white glaze gives it a soft, understated finish that works well in a variety of settings. Its handmade nature means each vase is slightly different, with its own unique character and subtle variations.
