Sand round cup
A stoneware ceramic round cup in ‘Sand’ glaze. It was hand thrown, glazed in several layers, and fired at 1250ºc.
Taking inspiration from the rough and wild landscape in the Yorkshire Dales, it was handcrafted locally in Harrogate. Each piece intertwines my Japanese heritage and countryside surroundings to create patterns and glazes which mimic organic textures.
With its unique handmade nature, each cup is truly one-of-a-kind, bearing its own subtle variations and marks of individuality.
