Hakeme butter dish
This stoneware butter dish showcases Hakeme, a traditional Japanese white slip decoration applied with a hake brush on black clay. It is hand-thrown, hand-brushed, and fired at 1230ºC, with a fully glazed interior for functionality.
The design is inspired by the rugged landscapes of the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors, blending my Japanese heritage with the natural textures of the countryside.
Each plate is handmade, making every one unique.
• Approx size: D 15cm H 11cm
• Colour: Black, white
• Handmade in the UK
• Food safe glazes
• Dishwasher, microwave safe, although a hand wash is recommended for longevity
• Avoid extreme changes in temperature, as it could cause your ceramic to crack
